Two of our GAP members have kindly organised another a coffee morning to raise funds for Galway Autism Partnership on June 8th in the Boat Inn Oughterard Join us for a coffee , cakes and raffle all in aid of local charity Galway Autism Partnership. Always a great morning and lots of nice prizes to be won!!

Parent/Guardian Meeting with HSE 17th April 2018 – Presentations and Meeting Notes NOW ONLINE Thank you to all the families who attended the meeting on Tuesday 17th of April. In total there was over 55 families who attended which was fantastic! This meeting was a follow up one to the one held in March 2017 at Merlin Park Hospital. These meetings have come about by parents working as a team to put pressure on the HSE. A special thank you to the volunteer Parent Committee Mary Moynihan Conneely, Rionach Ni Neill, Colette Dempsey , Alan Ambrose and Oonagh Lally and Edel Abberton. The committee consisted of members and trustees of Galway Autism Partnership (trustees are volunteers- they do not get any reward monetary or otherwise). Mary also serves as a parent rep in a volunteer capacity on the steering committee over the ASD team and also donated her expertise as a professional advocate ate for free. The Parent Committee was set up at the end of last years meeting it to look at the issues facing families waiting or with the team. It was and is not there duty to solve the problems of the HSE.There was many meetings held at Galway Autism PArtnership over the last year until the meeting this April 2018 they will continue . World Autism Month Sponsored Walk 29th April 2018

Support our Crew, Wear Gold and Blue!  GAP are holding a walk to celebrate World Autism Month in Salthill on Sunday, the 29th of April at 2pm. Help GAP celebrate the end of a fantastic World Autism Month – sponsorship cards are available if you’d like to raise some money but you’re not obliged to get sponsored for the walk.    If you would like to fundraise we also have online options – CLICK on the Pictures to go to the different sites below             More than anything, we want a large crowd walking the Prom together and spreading awareness and understanding of Autism. Family, friends, dogs and everyone in between are welcome to join us to turn the Prom the GAP colours – Gold (or yellow) & Blue! We’ll be walking from Salthill park (opposite Leisureland) to the Claddagh Hall where we’ll have music, refreshments, games and face painting. Santa comes to GAP ! Join us for our Family Christmas Party! Dec 17th

Join us at GAP on Sunday 17th of December – Please PREBOOK as we need to organise goodie bags etc! phone 091-588899  Join Santa and his elves for a GAP Christmas Family Fun day like no other! On Sunday 17th December from 2 – 5 pm, Santa will visit GAP along with ‘Farmyard in your Schoolyard’ – trained animals for a relaxed and fun day! €15 per family (includes 1 child) and €2 per additional child will cover a visit with Santa, a goodie bag, photos with Santa and an abundance of fun, family friendly activities. We are also hosting a Christmas Craft fair – selling baked goods, arts, crafts, reindeer food and much more! We hope you will support and share our Christmas Appeal Gift to GAP. Please visit As a small community led charity, GAP does not have any guaranteed funding. We fundraise for every cent to keep GAP’s doors open and continue the work we do. While GAP has one full time Coordinator and one part time Admin, a lot of our work is still done by volunteer parents.
